Less workouts/activities for the same price (XBox vs PS3)

I just read a review on the comparison between XBox version and PS3 Version and just learned that PS3 has 16 more programs to it than the XBox version, but yet they cost the same thing. I don't understand the reasoning behind this. Can you please enlighten me?
We not only have less sensors (yes our sensor is in something we already purchased (the Kinect)), we also have less programs.
Seems the XBox users were left out in the cold with this one. I hope when DLC's do come out for the XBox version that we do not have to pay an arm and a leg and two ears for them.
I think that the first 16 DLC's should be free so that we have as much workouts as those on the PS3 and then start paying after that.
The price should be at least $20 cheaper for the XBox version because knowing MS, the DLC will cost about 240 points each
Please let me know the reason behind why XBox users are paying more for less??
TIA

It's simple. Xbox 360 users always pay more for less.

I paid 99 dollars for a 320 GB hard drive at Best Buy for my PS3. I was technically ripped off, but I wanted it that day.
I wish your version DID cost you 20 dollars less. Heck I would even have been jealous at your version at that point. I think it should have come with the same hardware I paid for mine, and that it added the Camera capability as an additional option that provided you more functionality. I would have been happy for you guys and envious if they had done that. They didn't though, so I'm happy with my version.
Marketing is a complicated matter. The laymen's version is.... "Microsoft wanted to sell more Kinects and some of the exercises probably don't work with the Kinect due to the fact that they made it as cheap as possible rather than as effective as possible."
I could go on and on about how Microsoft doesn't give 2 cents of conscience about how they treat their customers.
Look here's the bright side. You can exercise with 1 extra person without having to buy a second copy or wait for a stand alone batch of hardware to get released.
If you're only going to use this thing alone, then... sorry I guess that's no consolation.
Microsoft spent 500 million dollars marketing the Kinect. Why? Because it's a 70 dollars worth of parts being sold at 150 dollars and they've already sold millions. People who get the Kinect are playing right into their hands. Microsoft ONLY cares about their profits. They don't give anything away for free if they don't have to. I am 90 percent positive that you got the game you got, because the rest of the workouts don't work that well with the camera. Are there any exercises you do on the floor? If not then I know why. The Kinect needs someone to be at least 3'4" tall or at least around 100 cm tall for it to work on them. So if the floor based exercises are missing, then that's probably why.
I know just about everything there is to know about the Xbox and Kinect, etcetera. That's why I never bought one. I could never justify the cost of the thing, and I've found other and better ways to do things like streaming Hulu and Netflix long before the Xbox even had either option. Well really the Xbox never had Hulu yet. It's coming, but...
Anyway I'll end this rant, but before I finish up. I doubt EA wanted to skimp on the workout package. It costs them money to have to do 2 different packages, and they're limited to ONLY selling this game to those with Kinect. I'm sure there was some sort of deal that Microsoft did to force EA's hand. Sure EA might be saving money on not including hardware for the 360, but they also have to entirely reprogram the experience to work with 1 heart rate monitor and a camera, rather than just working with the same product that's shipping across all 3 platforms.
It's possible that EA could have wanted to skimp on hardware for such a large audience, and they do also care about their stock, but I think they wanted the largest and broadest possible audience and 250 dollars plus the cost of a 360 is not broad appeal. Microsoft hates charging less than the competition. I'm sure their marketers argued that by lowering the cost of the 360 version it would be insinuating that it is somehow a lesser experience.
Hey if anyone wants to correct me feel free to defend Microsoft. I mean they've NEVER done anything anti-consumer right? All their products are fairly priced and high quality, just like the Kins huh? You know, those feature phones that sold so terribly that Microsoft discontinued them like 3 weeks in?|||I'm sure you're totally correct in your theory, but this is the only game/program I have that seems to give issues with Kinect! The other games/programs are amazing. My argument is paying more for less content and I'm sure EA could have added in more for xbox but due to time constraints and wanting to put the program out the same time as Wii and PS3, they left out alot of content and still charged xbox players the same price. For this reason I'm suggesting that they don't charge xbox players for any content until they have as much as PS3!
Basketball can be added as it has the same workouts as the soccer, boxing can be added as well (and I don't mean the heavy bag). Just take the time and make them xbox user friendly!
Thats all I ask.
Thank you|||the only game that i have seen kinect good at is dance central. other than that, the rest of those games have been done on ps2 back in the early 2000's. it's nothing new, just better marketing.
for the ps3 users, Kung Fu Live will be available December 7th. It's another great game/fitness title.
