Today was my first day

So today was my first day trying out EA sports active,
I have the level set to medium and it has only been 2 hours after I finished
and I am already sore all over. My Bf is a body builder and said if I am sore that is good.
I just wanted to make sure my level wasn't to high though. What do you guys (and gals) think?
Also I was also looking for exercises that focus on the core area rather in upper or lower body?
thanks, Busty|||You are sore because you are working muscles that you haven't before. But it is a good sore it will go away.
I was sore when I started and I started at Low.
As far as the core then is none that I know of. Hoping it will be in the next release.|||Congratulations on your first day -- I have just purchased it myself and intend to start tonight or Monday morning, if it's too hot in our townhouse tonight.
Re: core exercises: my understanding is that there will be a release this December that incorporates core/ab moves. In the meantime, if you have wii fit, you may want to add on a couple of the core exercises/yoga poses into your routine -- or maybe just pick an abs routine from a magazine or website (like shape.com or selfmag.com). I think I may have to do something like that myself, since I have a bit of extra tummy that needs some attention.
Good luck!|||yes me too. just picked it up. had a great first day with it. I burned 175 cal
I hope to keep it up and stay motivated.|||Me too! I just finished my first workout with the setting at medium, and can definitely feel that I've done something - mainly in butt and thigh areas, but that's ok seeing as they my jiggliest bits . I also bought the Jillian Michaels FIT Gamepak for the Wii but haven't tried it yet. Anyone else get that as well? I thought it might be a good complement to the Active.|||Hey Guys it great to hear how well everyone is doing. We should stick together and be each others motivational group . for me so far I have burned about 500 cals in 1 hour of "playing" which isn't back for doing the 30 day challenge and a few custom exercises. How about eveyone else? how it is working for you?
If you guys what to stay part of the motivation group respond back with your goals and we should see who can lose the most (healthy) in the 30days ( No cheating though)
Busty|||I bought this on Monday and did it for the first time and OMG my thighs. I couldn't do the running kickbacks (I think that is what it is) because by the time it got to that my legs were dead. All the squats did a job on the front of my thighs and I thought I was going to fall down the steps. Last night I started the 30 day challenge (sorry but I took out all the running and lunges, I will build them up on my own), plus I did my own. Love the boxing, baseball, basketball, inline skating, heck so far everything I tried I have liked (except the thigh thingys). Anyway, tonight I will do some more and then tomorrow night is rest from the Challenge but think I will probably still do something on my own. I look forward to doing these exercises, they are fun. I only wish I could find a TENNIS GAME to play with my husband, the one on Wii Fit is so restricted, does anyone know of a TENNIS GAME that they have?
|||yesterday was my first day. I'm a Type 2 diabetic and my doctor just took me off of insulin on Sat. I want to be as fit as I can be so I can get of oral meds. The 30DC seems great!
