I think there's also a bug with the "bicep curls with shoulder presses" exercise. The virtual trainer recommends turning your palms outwards before executing the shoulder press. However when I do that the game tends to think that I've got the wii remote facing inwards. This is definitely a bug in sensing the wrist position.|||I'm guessing that you are doing the side to side jumps so well, starting from a low crouch then throwing your hands way up when you jump, that you're pulling the nunchuk out of it's pocket a little. Then when you land it gets dislodged a bit more. Try doing it a little "less" and see what that does.
Or you could tape the nunchuk into the pocket. |||Hi
I am also getting problems with the bicep/shoulder exercise as it does not recognise the fact I have done the excerise correctly.Very frustating |||Make sure your hands are positioned in the same direction as your trainer's. If not, your character will get "stuck"! I still get it wrong if I'm not concentrating.|||pammyb, as Joan says, the hand movements (and holding still) are the key.
When you begin the combination biceps/shoulder-press, your palms should face forward. After you complete the bicep curl, rotate your hands in preparation for the shoulder press. After you complete the shoulder press, rotate your hands in preparation to bring your hands down to the starting position. At each stop-point, hold still.|||Are you sure you have the nunchuck in all the way? I have trouble taking mine out of the pocket, so I cannot imagine it falling out on its own. You have to push it all the way down to the bottom, you should only have about 1/2" left sticking out.|||I have found with the bicep curl shoulder press, that I tend to keep my hands too far back when they are at shoulder level. Then I guess my head or body must interfere with the signal. If I make an effort to keep my hands positioned a little forward, then it works. I know when I do Wii Fit, I am always almost centered when comparing left vs right, but way under for the up vs down (forward vs backward is probably more accurate, I lean backward), so that must come into play. Do you have a mirror to look into to correct your form? I asked my husband to help me (ONCE, and there's a reason for that) and my form is so out-of-whack it's ... well it's a sign of how uncoordinated I am. No one ever accused me of being graceful |||Thanks for bringing this up, I had the nunchuck fly out of the strap on me too. As Joan_Heo mentioned, I was being a little too aggressive in my movements and that dang cord is only so long, lol. I am really considering wireless for this game as that cable is annoying in a couple different areas. Something to watch if you are having the issue.
Also, on the shoulder presses, the video shows the band BEHIND the arms but the PnP and my character show them in front of the arms. Anyone know which is right? Behind and the strap rubs the skin, in front and it doesn't really feel right. We will keep at it but any thoughts would be great.|||

Being aggressive means you are giving it your all and that's a great thing!
I notice the discrepancy between the video and PnP too, soshal. I tried it both in front and behind and found it awkward. That's when I started using 3 pound wrist weights. I like them much better.|||

I find it more comfortable with the bands behind (like the video). I haven't had any problems with the band rubbing skin though so can't really comment on that, sorry
