Hi I'm new and need some friends

Hey guys, my names Kimie. I am 19 years old, I weigh 288 pounds, I am 5'4. I have been 200+ pounds since the age of 12. My life consisted of an morbidly obese father weighing in at 650 pounds. and a obese mother weighing around 250. My father is now in rehab in a hospital, it was a major wake up call to me, As I am now a mother of a 4 month old precious little boy. I live texas. I need motivation buddies! Who wants to be friends? I start my 30 day challange tomorrow! (Mother in law borrowed the wii, have to get it back) Anyone want to start with me? Also, is anyone close to my stats?

Exercise Savings Account:
Think of exercise as a savings account
invest daily, no matter how small the amount
make regular deposits, watch your account grow
and one day your body will reap what you sow
The more you exercise the wealthier you'll be
your riches will be measured by your thinner body
if you don't want a poor shaped body in the future
exercise daily and you'll surely get richer.
those people you admire who are thin, toned and fit
became that way because of their daily deposit
so make exercise one of your greatest treasures
and soon YOU will look like a million dollars!|||Hi Kimie! I just bought my Active trainer & plan to start the 30 day challenge tomorrow! Good luck reaching your fitness goals! Maybe we can encourage each other!|||Hiya

I started my 30 day challenge last night 5/7/09 and i burned 18 more cal's then they wanted and it was great today ive burned about 15 cals more. I have it set on medium with dance music and i feel great for doing it. It really makes me sweat.
I also use my wii fit as well.
Just wanted to say good luck with the weight loss

Wii makes it so much fun for people to get in shape whether you're just getting started and are new to fitness or if you have already been active and just want to mix things up a bit. I love your idea of thinking of fitness as a savings account! That's a great way to look at it. I wish you the best of luck and do continue to post your journey with Wii Active. People here can be very helpful if you have questions. I am starting over pretty much. Took some time off with a slight injury and am ready to go again.|||Hi Kimmie,
My best advice for you is to take it slow. I've spent the last 5 years of my life beating myself up needlessly (did it a lot longer but it's been worse since I was diagnosed with foot problems that made me inactive). I just completed my first 30 day challenge yesterday... and for that part I didn't concentrate on eating and active... I started with getting myself to do the challenge. As time went on I saw myself automatically adding activity and saying "do I really want to eat that when it's going to take so long to burn off".
Now I am far from perfect but 30 days is the longest in 5 years I've ever committed to anything to do for me. Because others made me feel I wasn't worth it. LESSON ONE - YOU ARE WORTH IT... don't let anyone or anything ever convince you otherwise... (and I speak from experience because yesterday halfway through the last workout I was ready to quit but I pushed on)
Focus on one thing first ... no matter how many things you know should be focused on ... and it will take time but it's worth it..
Congratulations on getting here ... and welcome to the journey!
|||Welcome Kimmie
My advise would be to just keep at it. On those days when you can't do a full workout do a half workout. On those days when you can't go hard go easy. But you have to keep at it EVERY DAY. Of course finding the balance is the trick but if you commit you will succeed. After about 3 months of this program (EA Active) check out the beachbody.com programs like power90 or slim in 6. Those DVD programs come with nutrition recommendations to make you makeover complete.
You've already made the first few steps by buying the program and getting to the forums. Now just commit and stay at it.
